About Us

Dr. Thomas L. Candara is a Podiatric Physician in Albany, New York, serving the Greater Capital Region. 

He moved to upstate New York from Brooklyn, New York after finishing his three-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Candara has had extensive training in all areas of Podiatric Medicine, Foot Surgery, Wound Care and Limb Salvage. 

In addition to acquiring his Doctorate degree from Temple University, School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Candara also has obtained his MBA in Health Care Management from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. 

Dr. Candara is competent in all aspects of healthcare as he understands the Health Care needs of his patients in today’s world and thrives to  provide the best care and options available to them. Dr. Candara is currently on staff at St. Peters Hospital, Albany Memorial Hospital and Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York.  

Dr. Candara is currently associated with American Podiatric Medical Association and New York State Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
